Andreas Trenker

Andreas Trenker is an Italian graphic designer, visual researcher, and educator. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, before earning a master's degree from the Sandberg Institute. His work explores sociopolitical issues through an interdisciplinary and critical lens, often focusing on conflictual geographies. Over the past decade, he has gained extensive experience working with clients across cultural, academic, and commercial sectors, developing visual narratives in various forms and formats.

Currently, Andreas teaches Graphic Design and Digital Media at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Previously, he spent two years as a full-time Lecturer in Graphic Design at the German University in Cairo, and for five years, taught Graphic Design Basics during the Warm-Up semester at the Faculty of Design and Art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He also serves on the board of the Department of Photography and Cinema at the Heritage International Institute. In 2019, he co-founded the design studio Normplusultra, which specializes in visual storytelling, branding, and editorial projects.
