Julia Frank
Visual artist, cultural worker and guest lecturer, is an interdisciplinary hybrid with a queer-feminist agenda that exposes intersectional conflicts.
A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Frank is part of the new generation That's IT, artists from Italy and 1.8 metres from the Italian border (MAMbo). She was awarded the Museion Public Prize and recently received the in memoriam to Sven Sachsalber Award.
Founder of GAP, the first studio house for emerging art in the province of South Tyrol. Assistant to numerous artists for projects in galleries (Simon Lee, Christian Lethert, Galerie n. St. Stephan, etc.), museums (Museion, Tate Modern, etc.) and the Venice Biennale (Gilad Ratman, Sonia Leimer). Frank's works can be found in private and public collections in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Argentina.
