Artistic Production
AP + AP
Artistic Practices + Artistic Production
A two-part, practice-based course spanning the Winter and Summer semesters within the Design and Art program, for students majoring in Art.
This course marks a transition from artistic research to production, inviting students to translate inquiry into material, spatial, and experiential forms.
Building on methodologies developed in Artistic Practices, students refine their individual practices while engaging with the complexities of project development and realisation. Through hands-on experimentation, theoretical reflection, and collaborative exchange, they explore the boundaries of their artistic potential.
The course functions as a shared studio and experimental hub, fostering dialogue across art, technology, ecology, and science; positioned at the intersection of poetic inquiry and speculative practice, the course encourages interdisciplinary and place-based approaches. Students develop personal methodologies that are emergent, rigorous, and responsive to the urgencies of our time. The works presented here reflect diverse processes and perspectives, translating research into production.
