Ein Glas geht no is a scluptoral work conceived as a portrait based on a personal family history revolving around the wine glass as an ambivalent everyday object both constant presence in family traditions and gatherings as generational conflict and tensions.

Taking this object as characterizing source material for her sculptural work, the artist used a white wine glass as a cold to pour 1/4 cement to arriver to custom forms seen as structural bricks forming and defining the foundational shape of the final  sculpture.Through repetitive casting, 64 cement casts were created and then arranged in a rectangle. The result is a sculpture that is both firm and subtle in its presence in the exhibition space.

ORIGINAL COPY

ORIGINAL COPY is devised as a space where participants question the meaning of an ‘original’ and its ‘copy’ in contemporary art by exploring various practices of reproduction, copying, and remaking, as well as examining their power as active gestures and critical interpretations to arrive to a ‘new original’. What reproduction modes and techniques are available nowadays to an artist? What is the meaning of ‘original’ in the historical moment we are living in and what is its relationship to authenticity? What is a copy and what is a ‘new original’?
