2022 Winter “Na sciurnata Amara” è un libro illustrato che racconta la giornata di Amara, un ragazzo ghanese costretto ad immigrare in Italia e a lavorare sotto il Caporalato. Questa storia, per quanto inventata, si ispira a storie reali e ne racconta, in maniera leggera e colorata, la drammaticità.
Il libro è raccontato e disegnato dalla prospettiva di Amara. Le illustrazioni si ispirano alle bandiere Asafo, bandiere tipiche della popolazione Fante. Queste bandiere raccontano storie di guerra ed eventi mitologici attraverso simboli e disegni semplici e facilmente leggibili. Il testo è un mix di italiano e dialetto salentino e racconta dalla mattina alla sera la giornata di Amara.

What we cook and eat today hides behind an intricate labyrinth of questions, unresolved issues, critical points, fears and threats. In this sense, rethinking the way we produce, transport and consume our food is one of the most important challenges of today. The “Cuocere il mondo” course starts from these questions, with the idea of mapping and addressing the issues and problems linked to the food system and its impact on the current environmental crisis.
