What if I told you that 20 minutes of sleep is better than 8 hours?

NAPOW

Loris Dadda

The 24/7 and dynamism of today’s society have transformed sleep from a primary good to a luxury one. Giving rise to a myriad of problems such as insomnia. All these problems inherent to lack of sleep not only bring serious psycho-physical problems to people, but they induce them to recover these “holes” during the day, falling asleep while on duty, on means of transport or in airports. With the result of an awakening full of severe muscle pain in the neck and back.

Napow Jacket (NAP On the Way) is a sleeveless jacket designed for having a nap on the way. It has the purpose of isolating the user from the external light environment in order to facilitate the nap and inside it has a harness that, thanks to a physical tension force, supports the head and neck, thus avoiding incorrect positions and consequent pain.

The jacket has been designed to sleep in a seated position in places such as airport benches, subway seats, offices.

A project made in the course

Intorno al Corpo

During the present semester we want to explore the world of products moving from the functional and sensorial relationship we have with them, especially focusing on that category of objects that live in close relation with our body and in symbiosis with us, at the same time stabilizing and transforming our bodies.
