NICE TRY
Francesca Cantele
Countless are the attempts of killing and moving that are exploited with this ancient and funny object. Its flexibility allows you to make mistakes, to continue, to try undaunted, stopping to think prepare and meditate the attack. The strategy is lost, it gets lazy inside the placidity of habit, leaving the goal to fate.
Unbelievable how such a tiny insect can make us waste so much energy: who is therefore in loss? The fly, so small and confused, or us, asleep in our careless and repetitive running?
With this glass object, all of this is cancelled. You only get one chance and the pressure of breaking something precious merges with the fear of making a mistake, perhaps even of killing the fly itself, putting us in a position of immersion, re-thinking and Presence.
Learning to become hunters, following the prey, understanding it, predicting it and striking it.
Just once, that one time, hit it.
One shoot, one kill.
