Body Interactions Program
BA Major Design Semester
2022/23 SS This project aims to investigate the sensations associated with suspension. I wanted to create a suspended seat that recalls the opposition between relaxation and instability. The silhouette was taken up by studying the “zero gravity position,” a position that allows the body more relaxation.
The instability sensation, typical of the suspension, is given by the anchor system. In fact the metal cables that suspend the body of the chair are not stable and tend to swing.
All the materials used in the realisation of this prototype came from scraps of material I collected inside the university.

Body Interactions
The project “Body Interactions” explores the complexities of the interaction between one’s own body and the bodies, environments and situations of the everyday life. Based on the critical observations of specific relations and phenomena, the students created and invented innovative design approaches, which formed the basis for a range of surprising responses to how we relate to our surroundings.
