NOBILE
Sarah Reichelt
The day is over and you've accomplished a lot. You want to make a good decision: cook something healthy, read a few pages or go to the gym. You quickly grab your smartphone - just for a moment. Almost automatically, that one app opens. Minutes turn into hours, and your precious evening hours are suddenly gone. Sound familiar?
NOBILE creates space. A place to switch off and recharge your everyday companion. NOBILE is a spatial and design solution in the form of a fixed wall charging station. It is located at the central point of the flat: by the light switch in the hallway. There, your smartphone gets its own home. It is put away, remains silent or is deliberately charged - outside of bedrooms and retreats. Strengthen your digital self-determination and turn your smartphone back into a tool. And yourself into the pacemaker of your day.
1. attach NOBILE
2. stow smartphone
3. slide smartphone out
4. remove smartphone
The shielding fabric in the rear compartment completely encloses the smartphone. On the input side, the device is inserted through the overlapping fabric, creating a Faraday cage. Radio wave reception is blocked by up to 90 dB. This corresponds to the 5G network. There is an open slot on the left-hand side. Reach in with your hand and slide the smartphone out over the flexible fabric.
Charging - Behind the wooden body is the electronic unit for the power supply. It includes the mains plug and all components required for charging. To enable inductive charging, all necessary components are represented as solid bodies and taken into account spatially.
1 Beech veneer housing

3 Partition wall
4 Side panels
5 Faraday cage
6 Back
7 Plug with charging unit
8 Spacer and cover for charging unit
For the wooden body, plywood was glued and pressed into shape. After sufficient drying time, a joint for the partition wall was milled in. Finally, all parts are glued and pressed together.

However, he must have clear ideas and first of all identify his fields of interest and the sector in which he wishes to enter and then which companies he would like to collaborate with. He needs to develop a particular sensitivity to understand the different philosophies of the companies he is considering and to perceive the "gaps" within the existing collections.
