Designing How Things Feel (Right) - Usability & Emotional Interaction in Physical Products Program
BA Major Design Semester
2025/26 SS This project is a collection of functional jewelry that transforms chocolate consumption into an augmented experience.
More than just rings, these sensory extensions peel, gather, spread, and break chocolate, dissolving the boundary between hand and food.
Through specific gestures, they act as an interface that amplifies the tactile sensation of eating.

Designing How Things Feel (Right) - Usability & Emotional Interaction in Physical Products
How do objects shape experiences? This course explores the relationship between function, emotion, and interaction in product design. Through the development of an emotion-driven swing and a series of “Tasting Tools” centered around bread, chocolate, and wine, students investigated how design influences perception, behavior, and experience. The resulting projects demonstrate that products are not only used—they are experienced.
