2025/26 SS The project toast tegels (dutch for: toast tiles) consists in a set of wooden stamps which are used to press different patterns in soft, untoasted bread; the user then pours chocolate sprinkles on the surface, and by shaking the bread a little they will fall into the indentations and form interesting shapes. Depending on the stamp shape, the amount of sprinkles on the toast varies, which results in a different tasting experience. By combining the different stamps, which are each one quarter of the standard toast bread surface in size, the user can obtain a variety of different pattern combinations, resulting in a creative and fun activity that can also be integrated into a daily routine.

Designing How Things Feel (Right) - Usability & Emotional Interaction in Physical Products
How do objects shape experiences? This course explores the relationship between function, emotion, and interaction in product design. Through the development of an emotion-driven swing and a series of “Tasting Tools” centered around bread, chocolate, and wine, students investigated how design influences perception, behavior, and experience. The resulting projects demonstrate that products are not only used—they are experienced.
