Creativetà

Why are young people the lonelinest age group? How come as we age we become more socially isolated and disconnected from our community? Is it possible to overcome age and language barriers to address the problems of isolation and loneliness?
The Creativetà project was started to bridge generational divides through the power of shared creativity. In collaboration with Centro Auser, an organization dedicated to elderly care, the project examines the feasibility of student involvement despite barriers such as age and language differences. Together, four creative workshops were conducted at the Centro Auser, with 14 ladies aged between 65 and 92 participating.
By organising and running creative activities as a means of engagement, the initiative's primary focus is not the activity itself but the time spent building meaningful relationships. This project aims to explore whether a creative activity can bridge generational divides, open up opportunities for students to get connected with local organisations and address the broader societal problems of isolation and loneliness.
