What if we knit a community that fits us?

Fabric making has long been a metaphor for practices that build society piece by piece.
"Social fabric" or "weaving a relationship", a relationship that "tears" or "repairing relationships" are clearly understandable phrases.
The textile tradition that during the 18th century becomes industrialized coincides with a general loss of understanding and care for community relationships and structures.
Focusing my project on the creation of a community tapestry is a way for me to bring the transformation from yarn to fabric to the common person, who might want to start thinking about these issues, also demonstrating how self-expression does not have to coincide with traditional academic artistic expressions.

INTERACT “I-You-We in an available world”

Semester topic: I-You-We in an available world. We live in a world of (supposedly) complete availability. The World Wide Web, the global exchange of goods and the freedom to travel for certain parts of humanity connect people, things, places and times. It seems that everything is always available.
