A Line Going for a Walk - Finding Strength Within Simplicity Program
BA Major Design Semester
2024/25 SS Spira Lamp is a functional and easy-to-use desk lamp designed to brighten up your workspace. Its standout feature is a metal wire arm that allows the lamp head to rotate 360°, enabling you to direct light exactly where you need it with a simple hand movement.
In addition to its main function, Spira Lamp’s design is defined by the exposed bulb wire, which isn’t hidden but rather integrated as a visible and tensioned element of the lamp’s structure. With its practicality and minimalist aesthetic, Spira Lamp stands out as a versatile and distinctive lighting solution.

A Line Going for a Walk - Finding Strength Within Simplicity
“A drawing is simply a line going for a walk. “ Paul Klee The creative process often resembles a wandering line — not always as straightforward as the one you’re about to follow, but rather unpredictable, layered, and rich in detours. Throughout this semester, we focused on exploring that process in depth — through a series of short workshops and one final project, centered around a single material: metal wire. This industrial material quietly accompanies us in everyday life — subtle, almost invisible.
