In what ways can playful fermentation-based art practices and research propose alternative models of care, microbial cultures, sustainability, and ethical consumption through slowness, cultivation, and reuse of living matter?

Bac-Oh-Yeah! Fake-on!
Suuuper cultured, oh yeah.

Welcome to the deliciously weird world of Bac-Oh-Yeah – where fermentation meets frying pan and kombucha culture gets a serious glow-up. This kit helps you grow your very own SCOBY and then turn it into something wildly unexpected: crispy, smoky, vegan “bacon.” Yes, really. First, we ferment. Slowly. Patiently. Cultured like a probiotic party in a jar. You’ll brew your own kombucha, grow a beautiful SCOBY, and feel like a fermentation wizard while doing it. Bubbles may occur. Pride definitely will.

Then comes the transformation. Slice it. Fry it. Spice it. Your once-slimy culture becomes golden, crunchy Fake-on – perfect for topping bowls, sandwiches, salads, or straight-from-the-pan snacking. Ethical. Experimental. Extremely snackable.

Bac-Oh-Yeah is for the curious, the plant-based rebels, the DIY food nerds, and anyone who likes their food a little strange and very tasty.

Ferment boldly. Fry proudly. Fake-on forever.
