The Ordinary Program
BA Major Design Semester
2023/24 WS Ordinary objects are the most visible ones, yet they are invisible to our eyes. The perception of the ordinary changes based on cultures and habits, but we still are connected through an invisibile thread.
I applied the concept of Plato’s hyperuranion to this, which is a world beyond the sky that contains the perfect ideas and concepts. We can connect with it only through our intellect, that is why every object we have is considered a «bad copy».
Out of all the fragmented perspectives, there is one that is common to everybody and while searching for it you will, for the first time after a lot, look with interest at an ordinary object.

The Ordinary
What is «ordinary»? It’s all a question of attention. Looking with a focused gaze at something ordinary, to which one previously attributed no value, can considerably expand our conception of images, objects or situations. A certain perspective can make unnoticed correlations visible and thus construct meaning that can be argued about.
