What would the forest say?

Meet Waldwerk: a forest workshop- and game kit for groups designed to foster understanding of the interconnectedness of all living beings. We promote reciprocity and care towards other beings aiming for multispecies rights and multispecies democracy.

Understanding Nature: A New Perspective

We often see nature as just the "environment," separate from us. This view leads to a hierarchy with humans at the top, contributing to environmental destruction and social injustices. A growing movement for ecosocial justice recognizes the rights of all beings. Environmental education is key to rethinking the human-nature relationship. What if we saw the world from other species' perspectives?

Introducing the Waldwerk Project

The Waldwerk project is about the interconnectedness of all living beings, promoting multispecies rights and justice. It blends theoretical research and practical activities to foster multispecies democracy. In collaboration with Burgerhof, a South Tyrolean social farm for children and youth, we created a workshop focusing on the forest as an ecosocial system. It includes "Forest Perception", "Forest Game", "Forest Encounter" and "Forest Conversation". Participants engage their senses, role-play forest creatures, create art, and discuss diverse perspectives.

Bringing the Workshop to You

We developed a game kit with materials and instructions for the Waldwerk workshop, enabling others to explore these concepts and promote a more just and inclusive world.
