What does rimbombo look like?

RIMBOMBO

Paula Trapp

In this project, in collaboration with the 'Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino' and the 'Commune di Trento', we developed the branding and communication for a small historical photo exhibition commemorating the bombing of San Martino in Trento in May 1944.

As part of the design group, we were asked to create the visual identity of the exhibition to match the exhibition name "Rimbombo". After the decision to have the exhibition take place in a tunnel, we wanted to take this up in our posters and work with perspective and the typography Rimbombo. In addition to the posters, we also create animations of the posters for social media in various formats.

Beside the posters, we also designed the covers for flyers, postcards and catalogs as well as other assets for the exhibition. To create a coherent overall picture of the exhibition, it was also the task of the design group to create a brand guide.

In this project, we were working on the branding and communication for a small historical photography exhibition, commemorating the bombardment of St. Martino, Trento in May 1944 in collaboration with the ‹Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino›. While individual design proposals have been created in the first phase, we used the second part of the semester to work together as a project team, in four subgroups on branding, printed and animated posters, a social media campaign, leaflet, postcard, a small catalogue, the curation of the exhibition and its structure and set up as well as the documentation of the entire project up to the opening at the end of May 2024. We designed, published, exhibited – and documented.
